Year of the Yin Earth Ox, Ji Chou Year : February 4th, 2009 – February. 4th, 2010

“The tough get going, when the going gets tough.” That is the image that springs to mind for the upcoming Ji Chou year – Yin Earth sitting on top of Ox (Yin Earth, Yin Water and Yin Metal).

After a tumultuous Wu Zi year, reprieve is in sight in terms of the real estate and financial market. People hopefully have learnt their lesson of hard knocks in the past year, for this is the time to make changes, relocate, get a new job, work hard, and build up the nest egg all over again.

For more detailed look at the impact of Ji Chou on each person, we would need to look at the individual Four Pillars of Destiny Chart, in order to analyze the implication of the different elements of the year.

The Year of the Yin Earth Ox (2009) Feng Shui Guide:
The Year of the Yin Earth Ox (2009) Feng Shui Guide:
  1. Tai Sui is in Chou - North - Northeast - (15 degrees)
  2. Do not sit facing Tai Sui, which is the strongest qi of the year, and the leader of all the annual sha qi, even if it is one of your good directions according to Ba Zhai.

Do not go against the Tai Sui. In case of construction or renovation, select an auspicious day for commencement of the project. Avoid major earth digging, hammering and loud commotions.

  3. Sui Po is in Wei – South - Southwest (15 degrees)
  4. The annual qi that challenges Tai Sui, as Wei clashes Chou directly. It should not be activated to annoy Tai Sui, e.g. by major earth digging, hammering and loud commotions, and select an auspicious day for commencement of any project.

  5. San Sha (Three Killings) is in the East (90 degrees)
    • Jie Sha (Robbery Sha – the 30 degrees between 45 to 75 degrees)
    • Zai Sha (Calamity Sha – the 30 degrees between 75 to 105 degrees)
    • Sui Sha (Year Sha – the 30 degrees between 105 to 135 degrees)
Tai Sui Chou belongs to the Metal Alliance – Si, You and Chou. San Sha Wood is in direct conflict against Metal, we need to confront this sha qi by facing it. Do not sit with your back towards it. Any major work in these sectors are not advisable, day selection will be helpful for construction commencement on an auspicious day.
  1. Five Yellow is in Ren, Zi and Gui - North (45 degrees) – A strong negative Earth qi which could cause bankruptcy, obstacles and accidents. We can harmonize this qi by playing soft beautiful piano music, a chiming clock with round moving metal pendulum - metal sound that can be heard in this part of the house.

Avoid using this space and keep it quiet, do not disturb this area, e.g. dig earth, hammer nails, construction, etc.
